It's summer, so naturally that means we're having dark, ominous clouds interspersed with our sunshine.

Great balls of fire
Great balls of fire - the sun actually came out. My cue for a long bike ride. First out to Matthews Beach where the lifeguards were taking turns rescuing each other while dozens of people enjoyed the park and beach.
Then over the PCC for a snack, and back to Gasworks where there was live music and a zillion people flying kits, playing volleyball, or just enjoying the day.
The shipyards were quiet, but one of them had a couple dozen orange buoys strung up looking like so many fish eggs.

Dodgy sketches
Duck Dodge that is. No watercolors; just ink. In the sketchbook that Ruth gave me with its friend the pen. There were about a hundred boats - and not a duck in sight!
The park was alive with all sorts of people and happenings - croquet, a drum circle, and folks just hanging out and enjoying a beautiful evening.

Sunset on the solstice
A gorgeous evening! I went over to Gasworks to watch the Duck Dodge - there must have been about a hundred boats out there - and a hundred people at the park watching! Then back home for the sunset:
Although I never realized that the sun was lowered into place by a crane!

Let's get scribbly
Good gracious - it was actually bright, sunny, and warm. Damn time, too. I spent the day on my bike with a sketchbook and was feeling pretty scribbly sketch-wise...
