Greetings from flight 277
We're back at the gate due to a generator problem. Just thought I'd say hello.

Wow - it's been too long since I've scanned. There's the usual Cal Train crowd:
That wonderful cinnamon toast:
Tea and dim sum:
A trip to Noe Valley on the J:
And two trips to Glendale, seat backs in front of me, back and forth, back and forth:
The life vest is under your seat:
The woman next to me on the way over this week spent the whole flight working a single really bad PowerPoint slide. Gratuitous clip art combined with stock images of people and a SmartArt graphic. This was followed by a cabbie with a lead foot who smelled like tobacco and Drakkar, then it was like 95 degrees in Glendale. 0_o But on the way back we had the comedian flight attendant: "If we could pretend to have your full attention." "There are 50 ways to leave your lover but only 6 ways off this airplane" "Disco lights lead to the exit" "This is a non-whining non-complaining non-smoking flight" "If you have an iPad, we are completely impressed but you need to turn it off" "We never anticipate a loss in cabin pressure; if we did we would have called in sick today" "Once you stop screaming, let go of your neighbor and grab the mask" "Ignore any naked crew members" I love this guy.
Today it was like 80 bleeping degrees, so I grabbed my groceries at the Farmers' Market, had a salad and smoothie at Plant Organic, and hid.

Dog guy and the Easter chicken
Saw dog guy on Cal Train again - and he's still reading Dune (the first one was good). He bikes with the dog - has a little backpack that he puts it in. Not the most exciting creature - I'd think it was stuffed if I didn't see it yawn once.
Meanwhile my mom sent me this crazy chicken for Easter - he's got this thing inside that lights up and blinks but I just like squishing him:
Oh, and here's some random photos:

cinnamon toast
So the last few Sundays I've been going to Il Cane Rosso for brunch. I've discovered that they have this heavenly cinnamon toast that's made from thick French bread that's been soaked in cinnamon and grilled in some form. Oooh mmmmm. I've tried their roasted red potatoes (to die for), breakfast sandwich (good, but a lot of bread) and this morning I had a lovely salad with it.
Other folks enjoy brunch as well, along with just hanging out down at the Ferry Building:
In between all of those Sundays is Cal Train, of course. I've been experimenting with using watercolor pencils on the train, so I can at least get some color in while we're going down the tracks. Not sure how I feel about the look. Here's a combination of some watercolor and some watercolor pencil.
But I do like how somewhere along the line a gnat got squished in there - adds character to the page!
Next Sunday is Easter so I'm planning on the Union Street Easter Parade.
