New house, new decor

Bought myself a present for the new place: "Smoke Signals" by Kimberly Trowbridge. I learned color from her and have long wanted one of her paintings - and now I have one next to my fireplace (yes, there is a fireplace behind those boxes).  As soon as I find a hammer and a nail, I shall hang it.

Goodbye city. Time to unplug the modem.

14 hours until the van comes. Sigh.

Starting now. Sigh - always a little sad to leave a place.

No food in the house since the van comes tomorrow morning, so it's dim sum to go.

Light show on the bridge

Every night we have a light show on the Bay Bridge with lights in motion on the vertical cables. It's very cool.

There's no place like home

And nothing says "home" like a skeleton and some fake fruit. I went over there today to measure things so I can plan where to put the furniture and I brought a few essentials.

The view won't be quite as dramatic as the one in the city, but I can see a tree!

Wet and foggy

A bit moist out, and I hear fog horns in the distance.

What is this?!

Found in the bottom of the back of the fridge. Resembles swordfish. I am trying to remember the last time I had swordfish.

So far, so good.
