Buddha with a headache
It was insanely hot last weekend, so I hid in the Cantor art museum at Stanford and did some drawing. The Thinker came out OK:
However, between the heat and the pollution, I had a smashing headache, so everything else I drew ended up looking like it had a headache. When the Reclining Buddha, who’s supposed to be on his way to nirvana, ends up looking like he has a migraine, it's time to just go home.
It's fabulous being able to carry all of your colors with you. Today I did 3 quick sketches, with fabulous background conversations ranging from autoimmune disorders to spin classes to the fact the Porsches are really safe cars if you discount the fact that they hydroplane like hell if you get the slightest amount of water on the ground.
As you can see, I'm experimenting with brushes and techniques, all while enjoying a cup of tea and a cookie.
